    Tips

    November 20, 2019

During a typhoon in September 2005, a slope in the »Komagabayashi Forest« started to slide causing a mudslide. This damaged the "Daishoin Temple" and many other cultural assets.

To protect against future mudslides, this dam was built from natural stones. The work was completed in October 2008 and the "Misen Trail (Daishoin Route)" reopened after three years of closure.
