The old Gothic style church had a Renaissance pulpit and a late Gothic winged altar with the Madonna, St. Barbara, St. Catherine and four figures of saints on the inside of each wing. The Second World War left nothing of that. The village and the church were badly damaged in the spring of 1945.
The heavily damaged tower was later removed from the church ruins and part of the church hall was expanded as a community room.
