The Torre dei Pagani tower was part of the Stalvedro Castle. Overgrown remains of the once extensive facility, which is located on a rocky ridge with a great view, are still visible today. The castle was probably built in the 13th century.

The notary Bernardo Biancardi (17th century) tells of a "very strong tower", built by the Lombard lords of Vione to defend against the attack of the Franks "over the mountain of Bles". The author writes that "even today we can still see many limestone walls where the Picca stone has penetrated in such a way that the stone is made tougher than the lime itself". Toponometry has preserved the presence of the fortress in the names Canalì de la Tor and Tor dei Pagà, which are used in the books of the Vicinie of the Municipal Archives of Vione (XVII-XIX centuries) and are still used by the inhabitants.
