In order to settle debts, the House of Hohenzollern sold Schulzendorf in 1812 for 31,586 thalers to the Prussian Minister of State Freiherr von der Reck. In 1858 craftsmen erected the first school building, and from 1865 to 1866 the Schulzendorf patronage church.
