From Maligne Lookout you have a magnificent view over the Athabasca Valley and the mountain range of the Victoria Cross Ranges, such as Pyramid Mountain (2,766 m), Mount Kinross (2,650 m) and Cairngorm (2,610 m), as well as Mount Fitzwilliam (2,901 m) in Mount Robson Provincial Park in British Columbia, west of the Continental Divide.

The atmosphere here is very depressing due to the massive wildfire in Jasper last year. Burnt forests can be seen for miles, and one can only imagine how severe the fire must have truly been.
