Thanks to the Heimatverein, there are now eight half-timbered houses that almost form a small village. The houses are true to the original and include a bakery, a smithy and a sheepfold. Next to the main house you will also find a 2,000 square meter herb garden with 200 different medicinal plants, shrubs and trees.
You can visit the outdoor area of the open-air museum free of charge at any time. The herb garden is open every third Sunday of the month from May to September from 2pm to 6pm. At the Heimatverein you can also book guided tours for three euros per person.

The Heimathof in Emsbüren
A courtyard complex in the old Emsland style is built by the Heimatverein Kirchspiel Emsbüren. Accessible all year round. Various events take place here throughout the year. You can always take a break here.

This home courtyard is freely accessible. The buildings are usually closed when there are no volunteers on site. Even so, there is a lot to see and there is seating for a break.
