At Sankt Margarethen in the Steinburg district in Schleswigholstein, the 37 m high concrete tower St. Margaethen was erected on the banks of the Elbe in 1983 as the top light of the leading light line St. Margarethen / Scheelenkuhlen. The red and white tower with border and parapet is 1075 m away from the Scheelenkuhlen lower light. With a fire height of 36 m, the common mode fire can be seen 19 miles away. The leading light line is the counterfire to the leading light line Glückstadt.
