In 1968, today's prestressed concrete beam bridge was built, which spans the valley at a height of 30 m. The old bridge sank in 1987 in the floods of Wuppertalsperre.
The Wupper Bridge in Kräwinklerbrücke is the oldest preserved - but sunken - bridge over the Wupper. It was built "few decades" before the 17up Wupperbrücke in Barmen-Heckinghausen.
