Although there are some parallel built mountain biking trails through Bourton Combe, this bridleway is a brilliant linking trail from the village of Flax Bourton heading south.

You're in the woodland the whole time, climbing if you're heading in this direction with a really tricky rock slab section to tackle on the way up.

Take care, very slippery when wet!

Lovely track through some woods, a great destination or just nice to travel through. You might see some badgers at night, in spring there are lambs in the field next door and it's a brilliant place to forage for wild garlic late March/early April.
If you're climbing the combe there are some amazing MTB trails built in the woods off to the right. With nice flowy singletrail that weaves around the trees. There are a few jumps for good measure and if they're not rollable there's space to ride a chicken line.
The main bridleway is pretty rocky underneath which means it's pretty weather proof. But there are some slabs that get slippy in the wet! I've had a few offs here and head-butted a tree!
