Gebirgsjägersteig. The ascent takes about 2 hours. The path leads you steeply uphill to the summit and the church. The Pollereshütte (Tel. 0664 5962908) invites you to stop for a break with regional delicacies. The descent takes place either via the forest road or via the Kammweg, the Hirschenkogel back to the top of the Semmering pass.

On the history of the Steig: It was named as part of a history revisionist memorial trail that mourns that Hitlerism was defeated. So instead of commemorating the last fighting Nazis, in my opinion it would be appropriate to thank the Red Army, which fought here, for the liberation of Austria forever.
