The Polleroswand is a tranquil viewpoint above the Semmering region, rewarding the short climb with a sweeping panorama of forests, the railway line, and surrounding mountains. The path is easily walkable and can be ideally combined with the railway hiking trail or a short circular hike. Perfect for a relaxing break away from the main trails, especially on a clear day.

Hiking

There is a nice (and described) way to the bollard window and from there a narrow path to the viewpoint. For the last stretch you should be sure-footed and free from giddiness. Alternatively, there is a path directly to the lookout point, but this is difficult to recognize at the beginning (marked by iron pipes with red marking)

Hiking

The Polleros Window and the Polleros Wall can be accessed via a small detour (and climb) from the railway hiking trail. In parts the path is quite steep and exposed. There is no viewing platform or railing here. The view is magnificent - down onto the rails or onto the Kalte Rinne Viaduct and into the distance. We were alone up here.
