The current Bantikow Castle dates from 1906. Even before this new building, there was a castle or fortress on the knight's seat of Bantikow, which had existed since the early 14th century. However, this older building no longer existed at the beginning of the 20th century, which is why the new building in the neo-baroque style was built directly on top of the older core. Bantikow Castle is currently a privately run child and youth welfare facility.

From 1906 comes a castle-like Neubarockbau, which has been built over an older core. The associated park is a landscaped area of approx. 15 ha from the 19th century. The castle functioned after the Second World War as LDPD Central Party School "Dr. Wilhelm Külz "and, after 1990, temporarily as a training center for the Federal Labor Office, was purchased around the year 2000 by the contractor Kurt Glass and converted into a spa and wellness hotel. In 1963, scenes from the film The Search for the Wonderful Little Bird were filmed here.
