A very well developed dike defense route directly at the black Elster. The trail as such is not awarded as a cycle path. The official Elster cycle path leads over roads. The dyke way to drive very well despite the compound pavement. The use is forbidden for any vehicles, however, for bicycles without engine power allowed (see photo).

Yes, the dyke defense route is definitely better than on the road. From Mönchenhöfe in the direction of Schweinitz, the cycle path even runs over the main road. I do not need that again if the vehicles (be it a car or truck) drive so close to one that you could use your elbow to clean the vehicle.
