From a distance, you can see the big wings of the old windmill, which has been in this form since 1941. A windmill has been here since the 17th century. And since then, the millers have been producing the flour for their daily bread. Until the 1970s - today everything still works, but in fact it is only ground in the context of guided tours and on the annual German Mill Day. If you are interested in the mill and the stories of the old miller, you can request a guided tour, otherwise the mill is unfortunately not open to the public. The Paltrock windmill was built in 1815 in Baruth, then moved in 1939 to Schönwalde, this was the conversion of a Bockwindmühle to a Paltrockmühle. Very nice restored mill, where a detour definitely worth it.
