At Pierheim you cross the European main watershed between the Rhine and the Danube. The MD canal has its highest point here at 406 m. There is also a monument to admire. Scheitelhaltung is the name of a sculpture designed by Hannsjörg Voth at the summit of the Main-Danube canal.
