This road is a popular cycling route out from South East London into the North Downs. The best time of day to ride it is while the sun is rising in the morning.

From the roundabout at the bottom of Corkscrew Hill to the exit if Beddlestead lane is almost uphill all the way for 10 miles. Good fun.
So, while you're giving your all up those hills some young lad will wish you a 'Good day' as they fly up the incline.
