Großer Pfaffensee

The Pfaffenseen Lakes in the Upper Vinschgau Valley are located at 2,240 meters above sea level and, weather permitting, offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountain landscape. A gravel path leads around the large Pfaffsee, which also offers several seating areas for a rest.

The Wattles is a popular destination for families and hikers. At the mountain station, there are various adventure possibilities for the kids. The parents can, if they wish, overcrowd their children from the terrace of the restaurant. For hikers the Wattles is in a good hour to climb. The panoramic view definitely worth it. Those who have made the ascent directly, can complete the descent on the natural monuments Pfaffenseen as a pleasant round trip. If you want to hike from the mountain station to the Sesvenna hut, you only have to climb a small climb and then take a promising hike up to the hut, approx. 2 hours. For perennial hikers a highlight would be the descent through the spectacular Uina gorge to Switzerland. From there take the bus back.
