A steep stairway leads to the Sabinenhain, where you can not only admire the liberally depicted Bine, but also linger on benches. "With tense senses you listen," Fontane writes about Ruppiner Schweiz, "to see if a sound might not ring across to you, and finally you hear the enigmatic music of loneliness."

In 1843, the then owner of the Binenwalde estate, Professor Karl Heinrich Schulz-Schulzenstein, erected a life-size statue that was supposed to represent the beautiful Sabine. Sabine is depicted as a hunter with a bow and a hunting dog. On the front of a meter-high brick base was the inscription: "Set up by Professor Dr.C.H.Schultz 1843". The statue was destroyed in 1945.
