The Kochquelle is one of many springs that feed the Kunsterbach in the Kunstertal. Incidentally, the spring got its name from the funny spectacle with which it brings the water to the surface: it resembles a merrily bubbling saucepan!

The Kochquelle offers the explorer a natural spectacle of a special kind. It almost looks like boiling water as the source pushes to the surface. The very large number of freshwater shrimp obviously feel at home in the constantly 8*C cold water.
