one of the very rare Romanesque churches in the area. Here you come to rest under the huge ribbed vault of the church. The monastery is dissolved and the old monastery buildings are now used as apartments. Beautiful inner courtyard - the former cloister of the KLosters

The monastery church of Biburg impresses with the clear shapes and geometry of the Romanesque architectural style.
Although the original furnishings are no longer preserved, the architecture still largely corresponds to the original Romanesque state. The church is a three-aisled pillar basilica facing east, which was built on the ground plan of a Latin cross. The unplastered walls reveal the cuboid-shaped hewn limestone and tufa stones. Rather a simple church. It's not baroque, it's largely Romanesque. There aren't that many Romanesque churches.
