Near the headwaters of the Ennepe you will find various biotope complexes in the nature reserve "Wilde Ennepe", as well as impressive swamp and moor-like areas. The reserve is located south of the, belonging to the Brandenburg district of Halver, is about 18 hectares and almost completely wooded. In the source-near upper reaches of the Ennepe and the adjacent brooks (for example, Wildsiepen) are considerable, glacial Quartz blocks (popularly "witches stones"). West of the area is the bike connection between Wipperfürth and Halver - partly on the old railway line "Oberbrügge - stop - Wipperfürth".
