The ascent from the Ansbacher Hütte leads over a well-marked hiking trail. The descent via the Grießlscharte can be quite challenging, especially in fog, rain, wind, and colder temperatures - steep, crumbly, and slippery. Sure-footedness and a head for heights help to get downhill with the necessary enjoyment. Additionally, a helmet (if traveling with several people) and gloves can be helpful - under the mentioned weather conditions.
