Made of dark alkali basalt and interspersed with olivine and clinopyroxene sprinkles, the eagle owl cliffs are a fascinating natural monument in the Schelges meadow forest. Almost half a kilometer long and about ten meters high, this rock formation impresses every visitor. No wonder these cliffs were named Geotope of the Year in 2017.
