Originally the Bieselfließ separated the estate districts Stolpe and Schönfließ from each other. The only connection was a small forest path between the villages. With the construction of the wall, part of the Biesel river had to give way to the former border strip, which is still clearly recognizable. All around, the Bieselheide today is a beautiful, about 100 acres of woodland.
