Essential crossing point over the Tyne ( pedestrian tunnel also available if there's any ferry disruption ) if you're touring the number 1 cycle route, it also lies on route 14, Keelmans way and route 72, Hadrians Way.
As the darker evenings come in this place is magical, the setting sun adds some incredible light to your photos.
