There are two abandoned quarries in the Weißenstadt-Marktleuthener granite directly on the Marktleuthener FGV circular hiking trail No. 2. In between lies the Königsstuhl, a larger group of rocks made of the same rock. The northern quarry was operated by the Jacob Company from 1892 until the mid-1970s. The material from this quarry was marketed under the name "Bibersberg-Granit". In the lower part of the site there are many different hewn and polished workpieces made of different varieties of granite.
