"The fertile loess soil on the Enz was settled over 12,000 years ago. Traces of Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Age farmers can be found here, as well as those of the Celts, Romans and Alemanni.
Dürrmenz was first mentioned in 779 as Turmenz in the Lorsch Codex, the hamlet of Mühlacker only in 1292."
