Stein Pumping Station is a historic pumping station dating from 1883 on the Steinsedijk near Haastrecht, near Gouda. It was built to drain the Stein Polder and was originally steam-powered, later electric. Since 2006, it has been out of use as a main pumping station and now serves only as an emergency pumping station. The building has a monumental appearance and may be transferred to a new manager who wants to preserve its heritage.

The Stein pumping station was founded in 1882 to drain the polder of the same name, after a design by engineer L. Exalto.

It was equipped with a steam engine and a centrifugal pump of English manufacture, make Gwynne, type B 7 1/2. Discharge took place on the Hollandsche IJssel. It was a small to medium-sized steam pumping station of a typological design in which the boiler house and the engine room were housed in one building.

In 1949 the steam engine was replaced by the still existing 88 kW Heemaf electric motor; the pumping station thus had a capacity of 41 m3 per minute. The electric motor was placed next to the pump in a then new extension built against the eastern side of the pumping station.

The Stein pumping station has lost its main function due to the opening of the Stein-Oukoop pumping station on the border of Haastrecht and Hekendorp. The Stein pumping station is currently only a calamity pumping station.

The pumping station is located on the Steinsedijk in Haastrecht.
