The dating of the Auermühle fluctuates between the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. There are no reliable records. In the middle of the 19th century was the mill Kornnmühle and also grain distillery. From the year 1895 only grain is fired - so the actual task of the mill is no longer perceived. The Angerwasser was used only for cooling the distillery. Around 1900, a major fire destroyed the building down to its foundations. The then owner had then (1905) build the brick building, which can still be seen as a successor of the former mill today. From the time the building is also used as a guest and Ausflugsstätte (liebevoll.de)!
Lovingly positioned in the middle of the forest is the Auermühle near Ratingen. It is just surrounded by hiking trails, trees the playground and a lot of nature. I prefer the pub's beer garden to treat myself to the well deserved wheat beer after the hike.
I have been an absolute fan of affectionate !! Very nice bike path until then why I like to go there but now it is so that a beer costs € 5.60 alcohol and a mini Schorle from the bottle 3.80 and you loose for 2 mini drinks with a modest tip for 9.50 € is. In addition, the small dishes that were attractive to cyclists so far because they were at least something similar at the snack also deleted from the menu and there are only expensive appetizers and main courses you do not even want to have. Too bad after years of regular rest, I and my friend will not come back on this basis and prefer to visit one of the nice inns in the area which are proper and a nice bike ride. You absolutely do not have to do this junk even if the location is actually very nice
Unfortunately, almost all trees were cut down around the site. Although the Auermühle can not help it, it can still be shocking to see this clear-cut. You should be prepared for it.
