The dump Hoheward is a mining dump in the Ruhr area. It originated from the foundations of the Recklinghausen II colliery, the Ewald colliery and the General Blumenthal / Haard colliery. Located between the cities of Herten and Recklinghausen, it forms together with the Halpen Hoppenbruch the largest heap landscape of the Ruhrgebiet. The highest point of the heap is with a height of 152.5 m above sea level. NN reached.
