Bike Touring Highlight
The dump Hoheward is a mining dump in the Ruhr area. It originated from the foundations of the Recklinghausen II colliery, the Ewald colliery and the General Blumenthal / Haard colliery. Located between the cities of Herten and Recklinghausen, it forms together with the Halpen Hoppenbruch the largest heap landscape of the Ruhrgebiet. The highest point of the heap is with a height of 152.5 m above sea level. NN reached.

The one arch that has been propped up has been a shame for the Ruhrpott for years (2020). They argue who has to pay, but you should fix something that should also be a sign for German skills!
This is also a majestic stone mountain (Halde) where you will feel your legs well.
