The Waldenburg chapel was originally located in the Waldenburg castle. After a major fire in the castle, which caused great damage to the internal chapel, the decision was made to move the building outside. This is how the striking octagonal Waldenburg chapel was built in 1732. Due to the construction of the Bigge Dam, the chapel would fall victim to the water. So the decision was made to move the building and to rebuild it above its original location. At this point you can still find it today.
