Beacon Ring is an Iron Age hillfort close to the ancient Wales-England border. The fort was built and occupied between the later Bronze Age and the early Iron Age; after 1000BC and before the Roman arrival in 50AD. The Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust now owns Beacon Ring and has been undertaking a series of excavations and conservation management projects.
