Mitchell's Fold is a Bronze Age stone circle, through which the bridleway ruins through. None of the stones are of Stonhenge grandeur, but it's still impressive just the same.
Local folklore has it that it was once a magic circle housing a magic cow, which used to give unlimited milk. One day, it was milked by a witch who used a sieve instead of a bucket, and dried out the cow which then fled. As a punishment, the witch was turned to stone, and the other stones stop her from escaping. There clearly wasn't much to do in Shropshire.
