Woerkum, as the fortress residents call Woudrichem, is a tough fortress lying on the Merwede and has good neighbors such as Gorinchem fortress and Slot Loevestein. This fortified town is worth a visit. Wander along the ancient facades, visit the historic harbor and contemplate this history on a beautiful terrace.
