Niemtscher Park Nature Reserve in Niemtsch. Information: A former castle park with mature deciduous trees and a nature trail, it provides habitat for many plants and animals. Approximately 17 hectares in size, it is a small remnant of the dense and biodiverse primeval floodplain forests that once stretched along the Black Elster River.

Rest area at Lake Senftenberg. Information: Lake Senftenberg is located in the Lusatian Lake District, an artificially created chain of lakes. With a water surface area of 1,300 hectares, it is one of the largest artificial lakes in Germany.
