A really great view on both Castletownbere and Bere Island and in the other direction on Eyeries and Kilcatherine and the other peninsulas behind. We even spotted Skellig Michael.

There is parking for about two cars at a gate just above the point where the trail starts.

From Sugarloaf Mountain you can look down on the bay of Glangariff and in the other direction up to Bere-Iceland and Hungy Hill.
