We had to go out after 2 days of lazing around. A big bike tour was somehow out of the question due to the weather. So get into the car and see something completely different. 🚗👫🎒 🧥And it was varied. Landscape like weather🥴
We reached the invisible border with the Netherlands through forest paths. 🇳🇱
We crossed a heathland and passed a flock of sheep that were not really interested in us Through the next forest and we were already walking through settlements on the outskirts of Venlo. The way led through a great, almost enchanted city park. Unfortunately it then poured out of buckets. The rain jacket stuck to the body😒
Was no use, head down and we went on. Luckily the rain stopped when we got to the center. With distance, decency and respect you can stroll there, shop and even sit outside in restaurants. We had to take advantage of it😄🍻🍽
Then we went back through settlements, a beautifully wooded city park, settlements with fairly modern architecture and back through the Venloer Heide. Here you will also find a memorial and explanations about the Venlo Air Base (ruins were found hidden everywhere in the forest).
Unfortunately, I accidentally ended the tour prematurely 🙈 that's why a few meters are missing. 😶
After a nice tour, a great day 🐰😘 home and today somehow flatter than usual on the couch CoWho cares ... and it's really interesting, so look😄

Today in Krefeld we made up for what fell into the water on Tuesday after the WoodArt Gallery in the truest sense of the word🌧
We absolutely had to see the RhineSide Gallery and today was the perfect weather for it☀️
From the parking lot directly on the Rhine (free of charge👍) it was only a few steps to the RSG. We were warned by @derolli that the site is fenced off due to construction work and that some works of art can only be snapped from a distance.
But what is a fence?! 😏😁😂😎
In retrospect, it turned out that we were punished for my naughty behavior. Not a single stick fell at our feetYou can see a lot of great pictures. It's just a great art😊🥰
Once around the building it went a bit directly along the Rhine. Past many empty warehouse and factory buildings, also richly painted and pasted, we made a detour through Uerdingen.
And it's worth it.
Nice, quaint streets with a lot of old houses. Cozy atmosphere there.
It was a nice day with many great impressions again🙂🐭😘
Only kebab shops are not found there
With this little chicken on it, we drove into the city center, breastfed it, drank weird beer and off we went home.

😒🌧 It wasn't planned like that on vacation. 🌧☹
Today we actually had two little things picked out for short walks. 🥾🥾🐰 ♥ ️
After the first "trip" we were pretty wet, except for our socks, so we didn't feel like it anymore
But it was a nice, short experience in Krefeld. Discovered on the net at some point, researched today.
A concrete factory was once located there. After the demolition, nature has brought back a lot. Walls were built from old tombstones on the former building site. Here and there, too, lay a few lonely tombstones. 🪦Artists have immortalized themselves there in the forest, on walls and in pipes. You climb over old railway tracks, discover hidden works of art, see snails of enormous size (you should still be careful not to trample them 🥾🐌🤭), you can shimmy up or down on ropes, run through real "jungles", you can look at display boards inform from NABU .... so just experience / see something "different".
Even if this was a very short walk, the look into the tube was really worth it
Unfortunately there was no Stauderbaum in Krefeld🤔 This is how we reward and comfort each other at home today🍻😜

NS Documentation Center Vogelsang - Victor Neels Bridge - Urft dam wall - Wollseifen and again Vogelsang.
Beautiful views, beautiful heights, beautiful color (gotten 🤭) beautiful everything ... 🌳🌞 ♥ ️🐰
Today first covered a few kilometers by car. 🚗 First we took a look around Vogelsang. Very interesting. If one is allowed to visit something somewhere, somehow there, it would certainly be worth the drive again.
It went steeply downhill, in the direction of the "suspension bridge". Then it was a leisurely flat half-way around the Urft to the dam. The local restaurant was unfortunately closed, but of course we had found a street beer again🍻😏
After the descent, of course, things had to go up again🥴 That was really tough 😰 We visited Wollseifen, a former village whose inhabitants had been driven away by British soldiers in order to build a military training area there. Very interesting 🙂
Back in Vogelsang and back home.
It was a great tour, with great impressions and varied vegetation.
Was a small first replacement for the canceled Allgäu trip. A few more replacement tours are planned.
It was great and we are exhausted ... how nice is datt?! 🤷♀️😄This time I 🔴⚪ stuffed something into the was sticker ’

Again a short hike through the forest. 🌲🌳 Today we headed for Schermbeck. From the Jägerheide hiking car park you were in the countryside in no time. Beautiful paths, beautiful old trees. The forest crossed with small streams. There was a pleasant calm. In addition to the normal, laid-out paths, there were some wonderful natural "trails" where you can sink into the mud with your shoe. 😄
Slowly you can see how the green conquers its way back.
There is not much more to say. 😊The encounters with other like-minded people (cyclists, hikers) were limitedAt the end of the day, a short stop at Raesfeld Castle and nibble on French fries🍟. As expected, there was a bit more going on there 😑It was a really nice, sunny spring day 😘🐰🌞Postscript .... 😇
The man may really forgive me again 🙏 for not stopping 🚗💨 to photograph the huge RWE flag for the obligatory red and white photo

We didn't have a real goal today. We just wanted to go along the water as much as possible and of course the Rhine-Herne Canal is always the best starting point
On the way there the shock😳🙁
There is a crack behind me and I see Bettina lying on the floor under her bike🥺😨
I didn't want to go any further, but quitting was out of the question for her and so it went on after the treatmentAlong the canal towards Duisburg is always beautiful. A little bit of the Rhine and the port area and off to the Wedau sports park and the 6 lakes plate.
From there towards Mülheim through beautiful green fields and forests to the Ruhr and RS1🌲🌳🏡Despite the bad omens, a great lap and a wonderful day😘🐭🙂

We can't help it ... again at Haard🙂but this time almost hard on the Haard limit and a little bit inside🙃
Through the Resser grove, on the Emscher-Rad-Weg, past Halde Hoppenbruch, Zeche Ewald and Halde Hoheward, we drove over the Allee des Wandels via Recklinghausen, towards Oer-Erkenschwick. Then finally in the hair. We really grew fond of them 😄 drove through a bit and this time also got to know the Dachsberg.
Back out at Flaesheim and on towards home.
We're taking the Wesel-Dattel Canal with us on a good, beautiful stretch. The calm there and the sun invite us to take a break. There were already 2 beers around 🍻🤷♀️ Really great, we'd like to drive a lot longer there.
In Marl we got to know the Our Father's Way. Past Loemühle Airport, it went back over field and forest paths to and through Herten. Again a long way through the castle park we were already back home.
It was a nice day again 🤗 Could have been a little warmer, but ...
3 km are missing from the tour🙈

Henrichenburg lock was on the agenda today. In fact, we've never been there. Without further ado, planned by Bettina, we from GE drove along the Rhine-Herne Canal. As always beautiful on the canal
On the way there you pass some locks.
You want to stop every few meters for a photo, but then you can also push directly😉😂
The way back with less water, but more forest🌳 The few meters of road are hardly significant.
It was very varied and there was always something to see.
It was a great tour and a great day🍀😘

After the rough industry yesterday in the LaPa Duisburg, it was through the Haard😊 today
More contrast is hardly possible KontrastWhen we were there for the first time a few weeks ago, it was immediately clear to us that we had to come back. Today the time had come and this time we traveled by train .... uuhh😇From Haltern Bhf it was a long way through industrial parks and along main roads. Not so nice
After the first few meters in the forest, we were amazed at how different the Haard is. While the tour from “Mother Wehner” was incredibly varied at the time, today it was rather monotonous from Haltern. Dead straight, wide paths and lots of cleared areas. Somehow not that adventurous.
It got interesting when we ended up walking through the remains of an explosives factory from 1891 that exploded in 1899. Shortly afterwards we were already at the train station in Marl-Sinsen.
It was a nice round, but the next tour will start again from Oer-Erkenschwick.
