Day 13... spontaneously considered; Ah, let's just stay another day/night here. Asked...🥴 Everything fully booked!
But, the owners of this beautiful place here, were so nice and let us move the tent to their garden 🥹 So to speak, exclusive 😄
Today we only went to the supermarket and tonight we'll have

With the best sunny mood, we went to 's-Hertogenbosch today. An incredibly great old town, with a lot of historic buildings. One of them is St. John's Cathedral. Very impressive when you stand in front of it. Also worth a visit again if you are nearby.
Now enjoying the beautiful rest of the day with the usual tent setup beer😊

Rain is crap, headwinds are crap, but both at the same time is just mean😒 And if it wasn't one, then definitely the other. This day had to come, we knew it, but it's no fun. Now we're sitting at the campsite in bright sunshine. Crazy today.

After the campsite, we quickly went through the suburbs of Amsterdam, and were out of the hustle and bustle again on endless paths along the water through the greenery and beautiful little towns. For many kilometers, we had a great view of Amsterdam from all perspectives.
The campsite today tops everything

Edam, Volendam and the small island of Marken, which we reached by ferry, were on the agenda today. Thank God, one might say, because these three towns are absolutely worth visiting. That's the Netherlands😊 So quaint and charming, you have to see it. Headwind was our faithful companion from the halfway

After yesterday's beach day, we headed back towards the sea today, the Markermeer. The small island of Marken is located there, which we want to visit tomorrow. For today, we're staying just before Edam and enjoying the great campsite.

Today, on our "day off", we were drawn to the beach. After some heavy thunderstorms raged over the tent last night, today was all about summer, sun, delicious food and lots of chilling🙂😎

From sea to sea, that was the motto today. From the Ijsselmeer via Alkmaar to Egmond aan Zee, where we booked our campsite for two days.
The first dent in the weather also occurred today. The day started sunny, but it quickly clouded over and the sun disappeared behind a cloud cover for the rest of the

Today the crossing of the Afslivsdijk was on the agenda. I definitely wanted to do it, for Bettina it was later a reason for separation😂
But who could have predicted that for the entire 20 km, which were only possible to ride due to construction work, there is no shade at all😅🙈
It was a great experience

Today we started early to escape the heat a little. But it wasn't as hot as feared. Instead, there was nasty headwind. Coast, you know. So in the morning, under a blanket of clouds, we went from the campsite to breakfast in Lemmer. From there, via Koudum and Workum to Makkum, where our campsite is today

Day 3 and a very hot...., so seeeeehr hot🥵 It's no different at home.
With a felt 5% shade, this day was really exhausting. But we wanted good weather, so we won't complain now😎
Especially since it will get worse in the next few days.
Now it's time to shower, eat and drink, drink, drink....

2nd day of our trip and a very beautiful one. Sometimes for kilometers without meeting a soul. Also great🙂
From Vaassen via Dronten to Swifterband. Paths through forests, fields or small towns like Elburg. A beautiful day ended with a shandy at the campsite😊

Finally the Netherlands again🥳
After the bike trip unfortunately fell flat last year, we were all the more looking forward to it this year. We took the train to Arnhem and from there rode via Apeldoorn to Vaassen to our first campsite.
Nice to be back here again😊

After yesterday's rest day, today a short, cozy ride through a few villages to Boekel. With overcast skies, it was a straightforward and completely unspectacular roll to today's campsite.
