It's always a pleasure to ride along that part of the Trans Pennine Trail especially if you drop in for the best BESTMO (bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, mushroom and onion) sarnie at the Magic Wood Cafe.
This ride was one of the wettest but as they say: there isn't a bad weather, it's the bad clothing

A very easy ride to discover what this part of Yorkshire is about😜 I've found a beautiful rock formation, called Brimham Rocks, 20 miles away from Wetherby, but I haven't worked out how to get there safely from Wetherby as I try to avoid road cycling as much as possible.

Only did the perimeter of the woods not knowing what to expect from the place. Huge surprise! There are flat parts but also a few technical sections (steep descents, uneven paths - muddy puddles and the tree roots 😍). I can't wait to try the paths going across the woods next time. The weather was good

A nice, well surfaced wide trail, with lovely views across the fields and hills of Derbyshire.
I would recommend choosing a quiet day as the wind can be a proper nuisance.
There are a few cafes (with toilets) along the trail and a bike hire place at the Ashbourne end/start.
