It's always a pleasure to ride along that part of the Trans Pennine Trail especially if you drop in for the best BESTMO (bacon, egg, sausage, tomato, mushroom and onion) sarnie at the Magic Wood Cafe.
This ride was one of the wettest but as they say: there isn't a bad weather, it's the bad clothing

A very easy ride to discover what this part of Yorkshire is about😜 I've found a beautiful rock formation, called Brimham Rocks, 20 miles away from Wetherby, but I haven't worked out how to get there safely from Wetherby as I try to avoid road cycling as much as possible.

It's a very pleasant and easy ride along the River Calder. When the weather is nice it can get busier on the paths because of the walkers but it wasn't too bad this time.
The MAMIL café /bar is worth a visit. You can bring your bike inside; the food is refilling and at reasonable price.

If only the ground wasn't that soggy!!! Lesson learnt🫣 Highly recommended route (not easy though) but only after a long period of dry weather. The crash site is worth visiting and it's an emotional experience. The views over the moors are breathtaking.

A very pleasant ride along the Rochdale canal. Majority of the paths are well surfaced, flat with only few road crossing. The route is easy so good for any abilities.
The part of the route after the 37th lock was chosen purely for the picnic. The views around the Higher Chelburn Reservoir are simply
