Very nice hike around the beautiful town of Bad Münstereifel. The hike was always slightly uphill and downhill on farm roads and easy hiking trails.
The town of Bad Münstereifel is located in the Erft valley and impresses with its city wall with towers, numerous half-timbered houses and its castle.5 days ago

Finaly snow!
A short hike in snow in the vicinity of Rohren and the former winter sports center.
We had the sledge with us, but the snow was too deep for tobogganing and the old toboggan slopes were completely cordoned off.
In my youth I spent many wonderful hours there on the toboggan slope or the summer toboggan run.
The ski slope with the lifts was finally closed at the end of 2017.
Lack of guaranteed snow and profitability.
Pity!
I better not show you the photos of how I sat on the sledge! 😂January 9, 2021

Very nice hike to the left and right of the Wurm between Bardenberg and Herzogenrath.
The round started on the hiking car park below Wilhelmstein Castle near Würselen.
Further along the Wurm, on small hiking trails, always uphill and downhill to Herzogenrath.
During this route we enjoyed very beautiful views of the Wurm, which flows here in its natural state.
Then visited Rode Castle in Herzogenrath, unfortunately the beautiful castle café was not open.
Gone back on the other side of the Wurm to Wilhelmstein Castle near Würselen.
The castle is managed and offers, in addition to a good restaurant, a mini golf course, an open-air stage, very beautiful views from the beer garden of the Wurmtal.
It was getting dark so we walked a small hiking trail below Wilhelmstein Castle.
This is very difficult to see but really nice.
In two places we had to cross stones and streams.
Here we went wrong a bit across the meadows on the Wurm and had to go back this way. But we were able to take really nice photos of the worm.November 28, 2020

The tour begins at the old Lahn bridge and goes through the beautiful old town of Limburg, past the half-timbered houses and squares.
The city center is almost completely preserved from the Middle Ages.
Continue on the Domberg with the cathedral and the Libmburg Castle.
Unfortunately, the castle is currently being renovated so that it can only be visited to a limited extent.
The cathedral is an absolute highlight in Limburg.
Then past the Obermühle, back on the Lahn towards the campsite.October 20, 2020

A really nice hike with a section over the Oelsbergsteig and the view of the Loreley rock.
Part of the Oelsbergsteig is closed. A diversion is signposted.
It's still worth it!
The town of Oberwesel is also really beautiful at the beginning and then the town of St Goar with Rheinfels Castle.October 18, 2020

Really nice city tour! 🙂
Particularly worth seeing are the 16 preserved gate towers and the almost completely existing and partially accessible city wall.
The old town is medieval and very worth seeing.
The castle Schönburg is located above the city and it is definitely worth a visit.October 17, 2020
