A rural ride with out and return along the Stratford-upon-Avon Greenway. Ascend to Ilmington followed by the best part of the ride back via Preston upon Stour and views for miles around. See this ride on my YouTube Channel: https://youtu.be/PCQg4NUAM5U?si=bo5F4y5dihXiS-sf

Not a wind turbine to be seen! An amalgam of paths, bridleways, farm tracks, cycle paths and sections of the Trans Pennine Trail take you anti clockwise to conclude at the highlight of Conisbrough Viaduct after a river side stretch through Sprotbrough. Return into town via sections of Dearne Valley railway. A stretch at around 20km where farmer Giles has conveniently used builders rubble as aggregate on a bridleway. Wise to walk the few yards through these stretches.

A glorious route on a summer's day. Starting on the Farndale side of the railway, leading up to Bloworth Crossing. The route then turns down Rudland Rigg to descend down Monket House Bank to Church Houses and a stop at the Daffy Cafe. An ascent of Blakey Bank runs through to the idilic conclusion of the railway route in Rosedale. Rudland Rigg and parts of Monket House Bank are serviced regularly and protected with sizeable aggregate so a wide tyre is recommended. Prepare to walk down the lower section of MHB and up Blakey Bank. A calm mindset here will reward you with the wonderful Rosedale to follow.

A flat ride of two halves. Lincolnshire side south from Gainsborough with the return in part in Nottinghamshire over the Trent at Torksey. Various sites in local history both ancient and modern. Research St. Mary's Church and Hall Knaith, Torksey Viaduct and Castle. Heading south add just a few miles

Based upon essentially-england.com Baconsththorpe Castle route this edit proved to be a great ride. It goes to show you can get as much, if not more, pleasure from such a short ride.
