North York Moors - Cycling Plus's ‘Britains Best Gravel Rides’. On my eMTB tho 😊

A route unashamedly stolen from Cycling Plus, amended slightly and extended to add in the old Rosedale Railway Track and Dale Head Farm Tea Room. Its a damn good un with all manor of terrain - farmland, woodland and moorland trails, 4ft high blankets of ferns, old rail tracks, fire…

Yorkshire Dales - Up Wharfedale to Burnsall, over to Malham and back up and over to Wharfedale

There are 2 big climbs heading out of Malham up towards the Tarn, one goes up past the Cove, the other is Malham Rakes, both equally tasty - this route takes on the Rakes climb. However, further on past the tarn is a stinging finish up Brootes Lane and a…

Great ride Mark, I love cycling in that area although the hills are steep and I have to use my ebike albeit on the lowest setting as age has caught up with my knees.

Test Ride to Check Fix for Shimano's Shoddy Workmanship!

I bought this Pinarello X7 some 4 or 5 months ago and while its a fantastic bike and I absolutely love it, from day 1 it has had a little ‘tick’ that only happens pedalling along in gear 5. Not much or loud but just there to bug you and…

How annoying. Glad you've fixed it. Ride in quiet confidence my friend. When I got my bike last year, the rear derailleur rattled and honked like a goose after a couple of rides. The 'B' screw adjustment sorted the rattle and oil on the jockey wheel bushes fixed the dry assembly... 'nuf said.

Yorkshire Dales - Park Rash (Down!) and Kidstones Pass

Having done Park Rash the 'traditional way' i.e. from Kettlewell, I thought I'd try it the opposite way, up the Coverdale valley for some 15ish miles and down the steep face into Kettlewell. You still have to get to the top either way, but this way its a long, steady…

South Downs Way - Day 1 (Winchester to the Hamilton Arms)

I set out 3yrs ago on the gravel bike to do the SDW but had a tyre blow out 40miles in and had to abandon it. Back today with @Gnarly Rebel as well and on the eMTBs which is far more suited to the terrain than the gravel bike. No…

Yorkshire Dales - From Masham up to the Wilds of Swaledale via Whipperdale Bank and back via Grinton Moor. Superb.

Another glorious 'big views' ride in the Dales. Starting in Masham and heading out through Leyburn in Wensleydale, up and over to Reeth in stunning Swaledale, around Calver Hill back to Reeth for a refuel to tackle the cheeky Grinton Moor climb back over into Wensleydale. Add in Middleham with…

East Edge of the Dales - Melmerby, Masham, Coverdale, Leyburn and Snape

Being at the outer edge, this area is a bit less harsh than its inner neighbours. It's still a nice quiet picturesque route and while it doesn't have the big climbs, it still offers enough to let the legs know there's still a bit of work to do, especially around…
