Hello fellow hikers! Today I went for a hike close to home, and as almost always, I headed to the observation tower to enjoy the sunrise.

... I don't know how many times I've done this,



what I do know is that I experienced the first sunrise in the summer of '84 and despite all the years, it's still wonderful

I did today's hike for two reasons:



First, I'd never been here before, but more importantly, I was visiting a dear friend. That's why the route was a bit rough towards the end. As a reward, I enjoyed a delicious beer 🍻. It's a beautiful area, and I'll definitely come back again.

Hello fellow hikers! Today I did a section of the Cologne Trail. I hiked the whole loop years ago, before I had Komoot. The advantage of this section is that you can walk back to the starting point at the end, which is only 4 kilometers extra. It was special for me because my mom lives in a retirement

I started on the opposite side of the road in Strässchen because the bus from Schlebusch comes this way, and going to Burscheid would have meant traveling further and changing buses

To wrap up the year, I hiked around the Aggertalsperre reservoir, and with this hike, I also reached the 1000-kilometer mark! 👍
