With more than 80 hamlets, villages and outdoor courtyards, the municipality of Friesenhagen is one of the largest in Rhineland-Palatinate in terms of area.
An elderly gentleman kindly gave me some tutoring in local history. 👍
Some of them were on my forest route today.
In addition, the variety of tree species in the Wildenburg forests inspired me to deal with conifer scents.
Very great, if you knead the needles a little, you can perceive tart-spicy, 🍋y, 🍊y, resinous and grassy notes.
The highlight was of course the valley of the redwoods.
I would describe the scent of the 🦣🌲 as grassy / fruity.

Today I read about an interesting project in the newspaper:

Then I went there without further ado and wanted to see something.
Unfortunately the weather was so bad !!!
Wind and sleet tore at me and my umbrella. Just wasn't well thought out this tour.
Nevertheless, a small impression was made.
I like these old Siegerland settlements and will definitely stop by when the weather is nice.January 5, 2022
