The Kirnitzsch River rises in Krasna Lipa (Schönlinde) in the Czech Republic and flows into the Elbe River 38 km (24 miles) later in Bad Schandau. Today's exploration tour leads from the Neumann Mühle hiking car park to the Arnstein (330 m). The steep climb over roots and stones turns into a sandy forest path, directly along the rock. Once again, we climb steps 😅 made of wood, carved into the rock, some of which are secured with railings and chains

We travel by bus and train to Děčín - Priper station in the Czech Republic. From here, the path leads through a natural forest and between the hills of Papertský vrch (361m) and Vrásník (427m). We pass the Köllborn waterworks - one of many in and around Detschen, a witness to Austria's past.

The first part of our hike begins with steps leading to the small Skywalk above Bad Schandau, part of the Malerweg (Painter's Trail), overlooking the Elbe River – at that point, we weren't aware that there would be well over 1,147 steps in the end 🤪😂

Baltic Sea March 50/12 ✅ Scharbeutz->Grömitz

A completely different kind of hike - instead of the Harz Mountains, mountains, or home zone, there was the sea 🤩

The route was a bit different than last year, again very steep in places (up to 28% for a short time🥵) towards Schulenburg

After a long time, I finally went on patrol in the home zone again 🥰 Admiring the snowdrops at the Schweineberg 🤩 is a must!!

So let's go - right bank of the Weser - to the Hohenstein, and after almost 300-84-1003 steps 🤪, we climbed the Teufelskanzel (Devil's Pulpit) and looked out into the Weser
