South Brent made for a great starting point for our Red Lake loop, with free parking in the centre and a selection of shops and delis to stock up on snacks. From South Brent, we rode straight out onto lanes, crossing the River Avon for the first time by Lydia’s Falls.

We had some fantastic news from the Dartmoor appeal yesterday so we headed up from home by bike to the top of Hay Tor where a celebration awaited!
We took some snacks and a celebratory beer, packing all our trash home with us as well as a few scraps on tin foil we found at the top of the tor.
