With such fantastic snow conditions, we headed up to Sonnenberg,



even without sunshine ☀️ it's fun.



Under the giant white fir trees, you almost feel like a dwarf,

the temperature wasn't too wet.



With a packed lunch and warm tea,

we strolled leisurely through nature and snow ❄️...

... hopped on the bus,

and

Just a quick trip here, just a quick trip there...

the lights are coming on... I really like it...

before heading home,

I quickly went out again. 😉✨❄️🚶‍♂️

Enjoying the afternoon's stillness...

and trudging up through the snow ❄️...

pouring wine 🍷 into my glass at the Maltermeister Tower,

and being caught enjoying my meal.



The air is wonderfully clear,

the half moon 🌓 was in the sky.



A light came racing down,

a jubilant biker 🚵 having a blast.



So my day comes

Slowly crawling up the mountain in the fog,

no visibility and didn't encounter a soul.



A bit of snow❄️ and ice 🧊...

So slippery, it makes my pores sweat 😅,

the air on the mountain so still and quiet,

my face freezes...

I'm completely lost in my thoughts, in my own way 🥰,

finding paths and solutions to problems

Quickly done, and up the mountain,

to catch the last rays of sunshine 🌄.



Turning my wheels in the snow ❄️, I feel like a dwarf,

sometimes I have to worry about my balance...

The air is so clear and the light is wonderful,

this is how the day can end, honestly.



I'm definitely satisfied with myself today,

For the first time this year, I cycled up here,

this climb doesn't happen by itself.



The Northern Lights 🌌 of the night are already asleep again,

dawn is creeping gently forth...

some are still asleep, still half asleep 👂,

and no sign of the wildlife we usually encounter.



Behind the boss, the sun ☀️ is shining

My inner couch potato is calling me to read 📖 on the couch 🛋️...

Luckily 🍀 my soul says ouch! 👏

I get dressed...

and see that @Bodi 🏃‍♀️🍀 🚴‍♀️ was already out and about and had a great run 🏃‍♀️🤗

So off I go, onto my bike 🚵 and out into the fog 🌫️

I can already see a few bright patches with lights

It's done! 👍

I've done my first bike ride of 2026.



Many more great rides are coming...

I just have to hop on my bike.

I'll have climbed a hill or two,

singing happily,

or maybe just whistling 😗

at the end of the year, I'll be saying...

together 🥰 maybe, or maybe alone...

it's good for the soul and the legs

Overtaking one after the other, that way you don't feel old 🤭

after hot tea 🫖 down into the valley, a run, a great time ⛷️



... and then, home.
