It was a great but strenuous hike. Instead of the reported 3 hours and 30 minutes, we needed 4 hours and 35 minutes. The 1000 steps gorge is to be taken literally. I recommend doing this route from the Unterstell cable car to the Texelbahn and not the other way around, that would be frustrating.
