Our last day in Sweden and one last loop around the peninsula before we head over to Denmark tomorrow. The weather was perfect for it, the wind seemed to always be behind us, and the one and only climb was soon forgotton due to the beauty of the place.
What I have learned about Sweden.
- They don't cyclie
Taking inspiration from one of the better known gravel routes on the island of Tjörn, I set out with Steffi to explore a bit of the island. The weather was slightly overcast but the chance of rain was slim to none. The wind on the other hand was expected to stay around 30kmh, which is exactly what it
What started out as a "short loop" to discover nature and a new cafe - became an adventerous odyssey into the wilderness. Our first stop after 20km was the Culture Cafe (the official name is something else). The Rocky Road brownie
Sweden - Day One. Not even here 24 hours and have already fell in love with the place. It's a place that makes you question how things are done where you live. The cycling is something that I have only had dreams of. The vast expanses, untouched trails, serene wilderness and the complete and total absence
The first but hopefully not the last time in Copenhagen. Riding along the the masses of commuters in Copenhagen was an adventure in itsself - it made Steffi nervous and reminded me of being a cycle courier in London. But once you get the hang of it it's not all that intimidating. The infrastructure for
The route was amazing - can't remember anything about the coffee or the food 🤪
On our way back home from Sweden we had a quick stopover near the Lüneburger Heide - it was a short ride but definitely a place I'd love to go back and explore.
