Snowdon and Llechog via Rudd Ddu then back down Crawdd Coch to Allt Maenderyn to Yr Aran and Craig Wen. As much as Snowden is the tallest mountain in snowdonia, it probably in my opinion is the least desirable mountain to go to due just how busy it is. However, the Snowdonia range offers many grand alternatives such as Yr Aran. Yr Aran is a satellite mountain south of Snowden accessible by following Crawdd Coch to Allt Maenderyn ridge or from the Watkins Path. My opinion it has better views than Snowden itself. From the top you are able to see Snowdon and the snowdonia range behind it, the Watkins path valley, Nantlle ridge and Meol Hebog. As it's not as high as Snowdon visibility wont be as poor and your efforts to summit wont be in vain. Though the real win is that it is a more peaceful walk as when you summit you're likely to be the only person there !
